Wednesday 26th April - walk ***** Orwell Country Park - Sunny periods.
Mag had an appointment at the physiotherapy there in Felixstowe, her broken
arm is only improving very slowly which gave me time to do my exercises
before I packed a picnic and we headed over once again to Orwell Country
Park to check out the bluebells:) We arrived in Ipswich at 12.30 and headed
to the bluebell woods first and there are now in full bloom and wonderful
it was too! Then down through the trees to the River and instead of turning
right toward the Orwell Bridge we went the other way for a change. The tide
was coming in so we had to keep an eye on the state of the water but we
made it all the way to the lovely thatched cottage just past Woolverstone
Marina, just before Pin Mill. We made it all the way along the beach, muddy
in places and we had to cross a few wooden bridges. We decided against
having lunch on the little dock and returned to a safer spot as we didn?t
want to get cut off but there was a breeze blowing in up the river which
made it a little chilly. After a yummy picnic we continued we headed up
into the woods spotting the tree on the hill our boys used to play on when
they were small and amazing that it is still standing! Then back to the van
and home via Morisons for Mag to buy plants before home for a cuppa and
cake.
I was pleased to get a pic on ITV?s About Anglia:)
